I’m Andrew. I have been working with nature for the last 15 years. I started my career straight from school having spent my childhood working outdoors on farms and maintaining machinery between my school terms, I knew the outdoor life was the life for me.

I love engines and motorbikes and I was always pulling them apart and rebuilding them since I was a child.

I first gained employment with the National Trust where I learned Forestry and Tree surgery.

I eventually found the methods quite archaic and wanted to make use of the latest technology and machinery so I spent the next part of my career in Commercial Forestry.

Commercial Forestry was clearing off large scale conifer woodlands, for all I was using the latest harvesters and forwarders, I soon tired of the monotony and long spans spent quite isolated in a machine.

This is when I decided to re-engage with people and went self employed as a Tree surgeon. In 2021 I rebranded and launched The North West Tree Specialists.

It’s wonderful to be working with customers again and taking the stress out of all your concerns. Mainly, my clients are distressed after having work carried out by others in the past that has left them with a mess and in their words “ ruined gardens”.

I have heard that lawns have been churned up, sawdust left across lawns, work carried out when the conditions were too wet resulting in lots of unnecessary mud and mess. Flower beds are a huge priority for my clients who have spent a great deal of time and money making their gardens beautiful.

As a perfectionist I can assure you that your garden and estate will be cared for like it was my own. It is such an honour to be booked time and time again because my clients trust me to do what I say and leave your garden immaculate, just as i found it. We really can solve any problem or worry you might have in a friendly, professional manner.

It is also a privilege to ensure the beauty and health of trees for future generations. Living and working in the Lake District National Park presents many trees with a TPO ( Tree Preservation Order) attached to them. I take away any stress you have surrounding this issue, negotiating with local councils on your behalf to ensure we obtain the best possible solutions. This service is all included in my quote so you can rest assured you wont have any surprise additions to your invoice.

The small team I personally manage and oversee are fully Insured and qualified to NPTC Standards.

I use the best equipment available to my industry. They are the most well known branded machinery from Husqvarna and Stihl. Equipment is maintained to a high standard and I have all Chippers, Trailers etc for transportation to and from your project.
